I.B. Nelson
I.B. Nelson has exhibited his paintings, drawings and illustrations in a number of venues. He has been published in various daily and weekly newspapers, zines, monthly newspapers, designed bicycle jerseys and t-shirts, created syndicated cartoons, illustrated books, greeting cards, game characters and layouts. I.B. has worked in pastels, pen and ink, watercolor, oil, acrylics, silkscreen, ceramics, Prismacolor, Photoshop, Illustrator, AfterEffects, Maya, iMovie, Premiere, Final Cut Pro, ImageReady, Flash, Large scale conceptual art, taught cartooning and art to children and adults, published a self illustrated volume of poetry, edited a small press literary magazine, been an artist-in-residence, and currently provides the cartoon for the monthly Alta Sierran. I.B. is a Web Developer (since 1995) having worked at Hewlett Packard, Zoho.com, Workexchange, HardingMarketing, Credit Suisse, ClickAction, Niku and others. Phil was the creator of the comic strip Farley. I drew him live at the Coyote Point Museum during a talk. 6 X 8 inches. Number 2 pencil. One of a series of drawings of well known artists: each is signed by the artist I drew including Mel Lazarus, Sergio Aragones, Dale Messick. None were posed.
