Studio 12 at the Sacramento Art Complex is a working studio and gallery for Sacramento watercolor and acrylic artists Keith Hopkins and Pat Orner. Studio 12 offers on-going display of Keith and Pat's artwork as well as the opportunity to witness the artist process. Open Tuesday-Saturday, 10-5* and by appointment, you are always welcome to come visit and see the latest in fine art. (*hours vary -- please phone 916-801-8080)

The Sacramento Art Complex (SAC) 2110 K Street is home to over twenty artists' studios where artists are building a new community and art lovers can find paintings, sculpture, photography and mixed media artworks in the making or ready to take home.

We also host the 2nd Saturday Art Walk from 5-10pm. With other galleries and restaurants within walking distance, you can make it a relaxing and enjoyable cultural event, every month. One of the weekly events held by the SAC is Open Studio Saturdays from noon to 5 p.m., during which visitors can tour the studios, purchase pieces and witness the artistic process.

A visitor wandering the halls of the building during "Open Studio Saturdays" is rewarded with invitations to come into studios and see the creative process up close. Artists are more than willing to put down the brush and share stories about inspiration or help a neighbor hang a new piece on the wall. In an effort to make the art community more accessible to the general public, SAC artists have agreed to make their studios open to the public every Saturday from noon until 5 p.m., to the best of their abilities.

Studio 12 artists:

Keith Hopkins expresses his love for art with a sense of freedom through vibrant color and static shapes. An accomplished watercolorist, he has expanded into many mediums, most recently acrylics. Hopkins has studied under top artists, has many prominent awards to his credit and his works hang in several private collections. www.creationsinwatercolors.com.

Pat Orner demonstrates her artistic versatility by working in watercolor and acrylics to produce both murals and wall art. Her interests in the human form along with her sense of whimsy are evident in all of her artwork, available in both original and as limited edition prints.
